Apples & Art: The Tour of the Loop 2009, in Chicago, Illinois was created after an event and a city were chosen at random. The purpose of the project was to deeply integrate the city and event, creating a short term identity. I was given Chicago, Illinois, and apple picking. After researching Chicago, I was inspired by the abundance of public art in the city. The event became a self-guided by GPS tour of the Loop, with 14 destinations that were eateries that featured an apple based dish and a view of public art.
